12:45 pdurbin hmm, I'm a little surprised http://indiewebcamp.com only just hit my radar
12:46 pdurbin as I posted at https://plus.google.com/107770072576338242009/posts/ZmpMPV1Norx I heard about it on http://twit.tv/show/this-week-in-google/195 when Kevin Marks mentioned it
12:47 pdurbin actually, I'm not sure if he mentioned indiewebcamp specifically
12:47 pdurbin he may have
12:47 pdurbin he definitely mentioned this post in particular: http://tantek.com/2013/113/b1/first-federated-indieweb-comment-thread
12:48 pdurbin and said something like "you know tantek, right?" and Leo Laporte seemed to
12:49 pdurbin I really respect any organization with pages like http://indiewebcamp.com/principles and http://indiewebcamp.com/why
12:50 pdurbin this is all great stuff. lots to explore
12:51 pdurbin and they log their IRC channel: http://indiewebcamp.com/IRC
12:51 pdurbin which is awesome
12:52 pdurbin they even have permalinks per line: http://indiewebcamp.com/irc/2013-04-27#t1367067387
12:53 pdurbin but no way to navigate from one page to the other? odd...
12:54 pdurbin "POSSE is an acronym/abbreviation for Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere" -- http://indiewebcamp.com/POSSE
12:56 pdurbin hmm, they link to this: Adactio: Articles—The Long Web - http://adactio.com/articles/1522/
12:57 pdurbin (I love http://huffduffer.com which he created)
13:00 pdurbin at http://irclog.greptilian.com/spanworm/2013-03-03 I was asked "Do you mean the use of trustworthy centralized services that allow users to import or export their data at will, in an open standard format?" and it looks like there's a good list at http://indiewebcamp.com/Sites_with_data_portability
14:17 cmdln joined #spanworm
14:56 pdurbin hmm, very interesting: http://www.kiran.srilatha.com/bondlog/2011/07/28/google-irc-group-chat-rooms-on-google/
21:11 pdurbin hmm, yes interesting but I figured out an easier way to do what I want... I wanted a jabber/xmpp bot to hang out in a google talk (gtalk) multiuser chat room for me so I could come and go with my own account as I please. I just wrote about it here: https://plus.google.com/107770072576338242009/posts/CfX9fWq551j
21:12 pdurbin I'm using http://thp.io/2007/python-jabberbot/ which is already nicely packaged for yum: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/python-jabberbot
