Is this channel actually about Fielding's REST or buzzword-REST |
09:58 |
|
Jarda |
originally about Fielding's, at least |
09:58 |
|
Jarda |
it has been not that active for a while |
10:28 |
|
pdurbin |
travelr: both, I guess :) |
10:29 |
|
pdurbin |
Jarda: meh, active enough, I'd say :) |

Whenever I show someone how I map APIs to HTTP they tell me it's a mix of REST and RPC |
10:48 |
|
travelr |
By which they mean, it's REST but not like they want it |
10:48 |
|
travelr |
God damn hype. |

Hey y'all - very new to API testing, and I was looking for recommendations for automating REST testing (POST) with a tolerant JSON parser |
16:33 |
|
whartung |
what does that mean? |

I've been trying things out with a few Chrome plugins like Advanced Rest Client, and DHC, and also a separate one called Vrest, but I keep getting errors from it. MY supervisor said it was probably becaus the parser wasn't too tolerant. I honestly don't know enough about it to know what exactly he means by that |

I'm trying out Postman, because I'm look to do the testing using a variable token that's going to be persistent thru each run |

ari-rootpcs: you want something for the browser? not a command line tool? |
17:58 |
|
whartung |
so are you saying that you're sending invalid json? |
