01:10 ruibritopt Hi gang having some trouble connecting my Rest Spring App (w/ Jersey) to a MySQL database, can anyone help?
01:11 ruibritopt or Jersey with Spring if you prefere :P
01:12 pdurbin ruibritopt: might be a better question for ##java
01:14 ruibritopt pdurbin: cannot seem to be able to create an entity manager, tough that many of you had work with spring in the past and could be of help
01:15 pdurbin I use Java EE, not Spring.
01:16 ruibritopt pdurbin: could you show me some examples of how you connect to a database, I decided on Spring due to facilitate this thing (how naive of me) and also to help managing authorisation and authentication
01:17 ruibritopt pdurbin: maybe I should try other approaches
01:17 pdurbin ruibritopt: this is what we do: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse
01:25 ruibritopt pdurbin: will give it a look, but I am afraid i can not stop this and start to learn something different due to the deadline

21:28 mikehaas763 In my api, a temporary password can be generated and a user is not technically authenticated until they create a password to replace that temp password. What would you return from your api if the user tries to authenticate with their temp password? I was thinking maybe a 400 response with a special error code in the message body
21:32 tr3online joined #rest
21:54 whartung I would use 401 and put text in the result message mikehaas763
