08:05 cem_ and no success

08:09 cem_ sajjadg: i dont get it
08:09 cem_ what do you mean
08:09 cem_ i'm using html 5
08:12 cem_ what is the use of this    <application> <el-resolver>        org.springframework.web.jsf.el.SpringBeanFacesELResolver </el-resolver>   </application>
08:14 cem_ anyone
08:14 cem_ i have configured auto-scan package
08:14 cem_ annotation is enabled
08:48 cem_ ????
08:55 cem_ fabioportieri: what is the problem
08:55 fabioportieri cem_: ?

09:19 cem_ fabioportieri spring integration
09:19 cem_ with jsf
09:21 acuzio sfisque: You have a point , but absolutely no one uses raw JS for writing webapps anymore - at least none of those who are serious, and of course those frameworks have a lot more traction and allow you to do Client-side apps _easily_ , which is what i prefer. YMMV of course.
09:31 AlexCzar cem_, http://www.mkyong.com/jsf2/jsf-2-0-spring-integration-example/
09:32 AlexCzar cem_, it is a bit old, but I don't think there were any drastic changes relevant to the integration of Spring and JSF since then.
09:34 AlexCzar Using JSF with Spring sounds a bit weird to my ears unless it is a legacy project you're migrating to spring bit by bit.
09:35 AlexCzar acuzio, and those who are very serious write their own frameworks :)

09:55 cem_ acuzio: i'm not serious :'/
10:13 fabioportieri cem_: i'm working in a spring - jsf project but we don't integrate the two.. spring DI for backend and jsf for frontend

11:44 pdurbin what's the equivalent of JSF in Spring? I guess they call it Spring Web MVC or maybe just Spring MVC: http://docs.spring.io/spring/docs/current/spring-framework-reference/html/mvc.html

12:10 fabioportieri cem_: what about AlexCzar link?
12:11 fabioportieri yes pdurbin

18:47 sajjadg :-(
18:48 sajjadg XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://localhost:8080/version. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://localhost:8383' is therefore not allowed access.
18:48 sajjadg I don't have web.xml and adding filter is so hard without web.xml
18:48 sajjadg !
18:48 whartung "don't have a web.xml"?
18:49 CJ_ The new version of tomcat has a CORSFilter to handle all of the access control pieces.
18:49 whartung CORSFilter?
18:49 sajjadg whartung: yeah. I need it!
18:50 CJ_ That's what it's called.  I forget what CORS stands for.
18:50 sajjadg I'm currently using glassfish 4
18:50 whartung you can make a modern filter without a web.xml
18:50 whartung same way you can map a servlet without it
18:50 sajjadg whartung: I tried http://stackoverflow.com/tags/servlet-filters/info
18:50 sajjadg http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8146530/servlet-filtering-using-java-ee-6-annotation
18:51 sajjadg but when I add override doFilter and add header to the responde I get no result
18:52 CJ_ Does anyone know how to set the output format of Tika?
18:52 whartung don't know what tina is
18:52 whartung Tika
18:52 CJ_ Okay, thanks.

19:04 javaeebot pdurbin: https://tika.apache.org/0.7/gettingstarted.html
19:05 pdurbin hmm. "detects and extracts metadata and structured text content from various documents using existing parser libraries"
19:09 CJ_ I think I figured it out.  Testing now.
19:14 CJ_ It worked.  Not as well as I'd prefer, but good enough for now.

20:07 AlexCzar has anyone used Axon, or any other CQRF framework? I've just discovered the concept and started collecting information and resources.

20:13 jieryn anyone know how to inject @Resource via system environment variable instead of context.xml (e.g. tomcat/tomee)?

20:17 sajjadg javaeebot: lucky CORSfilter
20:17 javaeebot sajjadg: http://software.dzhuvinov.com/cors-filter.html
20:18 pdurbin oh, duh, I missed the s//
20:34 sajjadg this CORS are really bad. I can't fix it in glassfish :-/
20:51 sajjadg please help me with CORS
20:51 sajjadg :-(
21:06 sajjadg response.addHeader("Access-Control-Allow-Origin", "*");
21:10 AlexCzar sajjadg, add a filter which'll set CORS headers, keep in mind that *some* browsers do not have full CORS support, e.g. for XMLHTTPRequest
21:12 AlexCzar pdurbin, http://martinfowler.com/bliki/CQRS.html

21:22 sajjadg AlexCzar: I'm trying to add a filter but after 5 try I still fail to do it! I don't have web.xml file and extending Filter is not working for me! I checked codes people wrote on stackoverflow and other places and nothings work for me...I also added response.addHeader to my response but I can't get data from the response
21:31 AndroidLoverInSF if i have a @stateless @clustered ejb, do i have to worry about multiple threads (or TimedObjects) executing it at the same time. i.e. is it inherently thread safe? i.e. the container creates a different instance of the ejb for each client?
21:34 whartung I don't know what @Clustered is
21:34 whartung @STateless, the container has a unique instance service each transaction (it may be a pooled instance)
21:35 AndroidLoverInSF yeah depends on what @clustered does
21:36 whartung @Clustered is not a JEE annotation
21:37 AndroidLoverInSF isn't it ejb3
21:37 whartung no
21:37 whartung JEE has no first class concept of clustering, it's a container artifact.
21:38 sajjadg there's a good code in this https://java.net/jira/browse/JERSEY-2097 link but it's not working for me!
21:38 whartung have you tried using a web.xml sajjadg ?
21:38 sajjadg whartung: no!
21:40 AndroidLoverInSF yes jboss
21:41 AndroidLoverInSF looks like its safe, @Clustered in jboss means "enables load balancing over the cluster nodes for a remote client"
