14:20		aditsu	pdurbin: well, people use that as a rough estimation for simple calculations, then they don't give it a second look until it ends up causing weird bugs in a big system :p

14:24		aditsu	I think I read an article once about Google dealing with leap second issues... in testing they found that a bunch of their systems were going haywire, and they solved it by spreading that second over a whole day instead of having a sudden jump
