yes! And while the first part of the topic "barriers to participation ..." is target at and important to designers and ux pros, the second part "the need for moving beyond ... into the essential work of interaction design and product design" is Generally Important because of all the areas that it leads into such as "fitness for Purpose", meeting constraints, etc., etc. |

this is not just an under-discussed topic for the design world, or even the tech world. but for the World. Interaction Design and the various factors that influence/characterise methodologies for Interaction Design (as a process and the resulting designs) is more broadly applicable than just to webpage interactions. |
