01:37 sivoais ah, I was just talking about that the other day in #perl6-dev <https://irclog.perlgeek.de/perl6-dev/2016-10-18#i_13426304>
01:37 sivoais Testing out integrating IPerl with that has been on my TODO list for a while
01:38 sivoais But tonight I'm playing with making an .app bundle for macOS
01:41 sivoais Interesting to note is that the ability to use the same data in different languages was one of the early goals of the Parrot VM. Too bad it seems to have languished.

11:31 pdurbin this notebook about zika virus is interesting: https://pub.beakernotebook.com/publications/38dfd64a-15b0-11e6-b7fd-031e9e6ff619
11:32 pdurbin as is this one about seattle crime stats: https://pub.beakernotebook.com/publications/565b83c6-58f3-4fd1-898e-8743bcd73bc3
11:35 pdurbin sivoais: those chat logs are interesting. Thanks. It sounds like you're saying an advantage Beaker has over Jupyter is that you can switch languages within the same notebook.
11:37 pdurbin but to switch languages your data needs to be in a fairly simple format, you're suggesting, which makes sense. CSV or whatever
11:38 pdurbin you mention HDF and I've heard of it but have never used it
