19:55 dotplus inifile so that the Vagrantfile populates groups and sets config dynamically based on an Ansible inventory. LOAD_PATH.unshift() allows me to use the gem. there's a bit more to go before it's all done cos Ansible inventory files are not _quite_ INI format. but I'm "cheating" by using an assumption that is true for our situation: the inventory file is purely a list of hosts/groups/supergroups and does not set any variables.

19:59 pdurbin dotplus: I just use environment variables: https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/blob/v4.5.1/Vagrantfile#L24
20:00 pdurbin but your thing sounds way fancier

20:24 dotplus yeah, the idea is that we're using vagrant (against local virtualization) to build (part of, not all at once!) the environment on dev workstations. But that the inventory that should be used is the same as the staging/prod inventory.

21:12 sivoais huh, using the Broadway backend for Gtk3 is pretty neat. It lets you use the Gtk3 application in a browser over websockets. Quite fast.
21:18 sivoais I just tried it with the Gtk3 application I'm writing. Fast enough to use remotely over an SSH tunnel.
21:21 sivoais Copy and paste doesn't work, but that's always a little broken across many desktop-like webapps.
