16:30 pdurbin "Welcome to Jenkins 2! Install new features to complete the upgrade"
17:34 dotplus I'd be interested to hear if you finds compelling benefits from Jenkins v2.
17:34 pdurbin dotplus: to be honest, I don't even know what version we were on before. I just saw that at the top when I logged in.
17:35 dotplus I'm guessing bear is, of us, the most familiar with the various CI options.
17:36 bear I do know quite a few of them :)
17:36 dotplus pdurbin: v2 was just released (this week?). previously GA was 1.6.x
17:36 pdurbin dotplus: ah, good to know
17:36 pdurbin nothing seems broken yet
17:39 dotplus ah what a ringing endorsement
17:40 pdurbin heh
17:40 pdurbin our ops group runs jenkins, not me
17:46 dotplus ack. CI is the sort of thing where there is often an important distinction between "those who deploy/run the infra and service for $foo" and "those who decide the config *inside* $foo" and (sometimes) "those who use $foo"
17:46 dotplus ticketing systems are another example.
17:49 dotplus e.g. if you recall, I once ran (in sense (a) above) a very large RT install. But even then I was no more than a bit above average as far as expertise in running RT (sense (b) above). And in that particular case, I was barely even on the board in sense (c).
17:57 pdurbin maybe I'm losing my senses but I mean that I mostly just click the "build" button
18:08 dotplus that would be (c)
18:10 pdurbin o i c
18:11 bear :)
