14:36 semiosis pdurbin: i tried a little lisp in college but i was just experimenting
14:38 semiosis best thing i got from it was thinking functionally
14:38 pdurbin ok
14:38 pdurbin I mean I get that Lisp has always been functional.
14:39 pdurbin I'm just not sure if Lisp has always emphasized immutability the way Clojure does.
14:39 pdurbin I asked here too: [codecraft] Lisp and immutability - http://or8.net/pipermail/codecraft/2015-September/000057.html
14:40 semiosis it forces you to think about problems bottom-up.  you build a language for your problem domain starting with fundamental operations and ending up with high level functions that actually resemble the domain langauge
14:43 pdurbin nice
