17:32	Darkman802	What's the best practice on returning a 404 when it could be for different resources. For example, a link such as /servers/{server_id}/users/{user_id} the 404 could either be for the server or user. I would assume you would just send a message in the body telling which one?

17:37	asdf`	Darkman802, right; your 404 responses can contain possible actions just like your 200 responses. So, your 404 response can have a link to a 'server users' resource if that server exists, or to a 'all servers' resource if that server doesn't exist; you need to think if that is useful, or maybe if you can add more useful transitions there
17:38	trygvis	I doubt you'll find many 404 responses with lots of info/links in it
17:38	trygvis	as a machine you're usually limited to backtrack to where you got the URL from and try again or fail
