18:10 txomon hi, I have already asked this, but I have been thinking on stuff and want to recheck.
18:11 txomon I have a game API, and I want to REST when a user makes use of an object. This is, the user can drop the object, use it in someone else, use it for himself, etc.
18:12 txomon so my question is, how may I represent that?
18:12 txomon I was told to create a "transaction" enpoint which would describe the action
18:13 txomon because one same item might have different actions, with really different possible actions

18:46 pdurbin txomon: you're concerned about creating so many transaction endpoints?
18:47 txomon pdurbin, it would be just one, /transaction , but I am concerned for a "clean" REST design
18:54 pdurbin the thing people often repeat in here is "don't think of REST as CRUD"
18:56 pdurbin and "don't make RPC endpoints"
19:06 trygvis having RPC endpoints is not a problem as long as you do it within the REST constraints

19:35 pdurbin ok then :)

22:28 avitex Quick question, to do with a restful design. Say if I have a collection eg /users/:handle/activity, and when the request was from an authenticated user 'more' activity would appear. Would this still be considered correct in design? :)
