18:04		aditsu	the frame sometimes comes up blank, but if you click in the middle, the combo box appears

18:11		aditsu	main points are: do Swing things on the event dispatch thread, add components after setting the layout, make the frame visible at the end
18:12		aditsu	also, it is not usually recommended to extends the JFrame class
